This application, BMI Calculator, uses a local SQLite database named "weightTracker.db" to function. This local database stores the weight values, dates, measurement units, and text notes that you input into the app. The application retrieves this stored data to display your weight history and populate a progress graph. The application utilizes local storage known as SharedPreferences to save your application settings. These saved settings include your selected gender, weight unit, height unit, and notification reminder frequency. The application integrates the Google AdMob SDK to display banner advertisements. The application uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage user consent for these advertisements.
2. Data Retention Policy
The application does not transmit, store, or retain your personal health data on any external servers or cloud databases. All user data (such as weight entries, height, age, gender, and notes) is retained strictly locally on your physical device for as long as the application remains installed.
3. Data Deletion Process
Because your data is not stored on our servers, you maintain complete control over your information at all times. You can delete your entire weight history directly within the app by navigating to the menu and selecting the "Erase graph" option. Selecting this option triggers a command that permanently deletes all stored records from the local database. You can clear your current screen inputs at any time by selecting the "Erase all fields" option. You can instantly and permanently delete all data collected by this application by uninstalling the application from your device or by clearing the app's data in your device's system settings.
4. Children's Privacy and Age Restriction
BMI Calculator does not permit the calculation of BMI for individuals below 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal or health information from anyone under the age of 18.
